MOUNTAIN WEATHER
Partly sunny in town. Carry a shell and warm layer; verify summit wind and radar before leaving.
YOUR BASE
If no staff are present, find the key safe by the window to the right of the entrance stairs. The room number is written on the key card.
Close the safe afterward and scramble the combination.IMPORTANT / SAFETY
Use the hotel’s final approach. Save it offline before Friday.
Mountain conditions change quickly. Check wind, rain and thunderstorms Saturday morning.
Share the route. Leave the planned trail and return time with someone.
Turn back early. The aim is a lovely walk, not an endurance test.
SATURDAY ROUTE BRIEF
Build the final route around an enjoyable ascent, open views and a comfortable descent to Oberwiesenthal. Avoid adding distance simply to hit a number.
